If you do contact your counsellor through these websites, the contents of the message will be documented and become part of your clinical file and your counsellor will not respond to communications through these platofrms.. Contact through social media is not monitored.
Your counsellor will not accept friend requests, will not send friend requests, and/or will not follow you or any client on social media. This is a violation of privacy and confidentiality. Your counsellor will never request or expect you to "like" or "follow" them on social media.
The only way to contact your counsellor is by email or by phone.
You may come across your counsellor's name and/or business on business review websites which invite people to rate and review businesses or practitioners. These websites are NOT affiliated with your counsellor or their business.
Please know that if you post a review on one of these websites, any private details about your experience may then be available for others on the internet to view. Please also know that it is unlikely your counsellor will see the review, and they are prohibited from responding to your comments/reviews due to confidentiality and privacy regulations. We hope that you bring your comments, feedback, or concerns directly to your counsellor to discuss.
