As a Registered Counselling Therapist with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT) and a Registered Professional Counsellor with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA), I am committed to providing counselling services that are safe, respectful, confidential, and grounded in professional ethics.
My work is guided by the ethical codes and standards of both regulatory bodies. These standards ensure that clients receive competent, compassionate, and accountable care. The following information has been provided based on recommendation C.19 from the Final Report of the Mass Casualty Commission Recommendations.
NSCCT regulates the practice of counselling therapy in Nova Scotia. Their mandate includes public protection, professional accountability, and ensuring that counselling therapists meet high standards of practice.
The Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT) recognizes that individuals from marginalized communities are at particular risk of being mistreated by a counsellor. As such, NSCCT requires all Registered Counselling Therapists (RCT) to provide the following links on their website for the public.

The Standards of Practice for the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association
